After͏ losing our home in a wildfire, we were unexpectedly forced into looking for a home during a very competitive seller's market where people generally lost several of the homes they made offers on and bidding wars were sending prices through the roof. We wanted someone who would advocate for us, who was well established in the Roseville-Auburn area, and knew not only the general feeling of every street but who had a robust rolodex of relationships with trusted local contractors and lenders to help our deal go through effortlessly We also wanted someone who had weathered a real estate crisis like 2008 and who would do more than just put us on an automated MLS system similar to what we could already set up for ourselves on Redfin and wait for us to call. Melanie was profoundly helpful. Each time she'd send us a listing, she'd ask us what we liked and didn't like about it, so she could niche down and only share the properties that would actually create a true sense of home for us.
