We worked with Marcelo to purchase our first home in St. Louis Park. Throughout the entire experience, he was extremely courteous, responsive, and attentive to our needs. Marcelo was a true professional. Before hiring him, he met with us (on a weekend) for nearly 2 hours to go over our home interests, neighborhoods, the market, and his philosophy on home buying. He even urged us to meet with other realtors, because this is "too important of a decision to rush." Our home buying experience took 6 months and Marcelo was there throughout the process. He set up an electronic portal to alert us of new homes meeting our search criteria. If any looked remotely promising, Marcelo would forward that on himself. He was always in email or phone contact. Marcelo would meet us at open houses, which was much appreciated as he would often see things that we'd miss (he set up private viewings, too). Marcelo served as an objective advisor, laying things out in black and white. When we became serious about a potential home, he produced a multi-page document comparing that home to nearby recent sales, to gauge the asking price versus true market value. While Marcelo never told us what to do, he always provided facts and his professional recommendations, so that we could make an informed and best decision. This was invaluable for someone new to this process. Perhaps most telling about Marcelo was his honesty when trying to get us the best possible home. It is easy to get caught up in the moment, but rather than push for a quick sale, Marcelo always kept our interests in mind for finding the best possible home. Every action Marcelo took was for our benefit. He was able to take a normally stressful experience and make it into a smooth process. Marcelo was a true pleasure to work with and we are thrilled with our new house. I would unequivocally recommend him as a realtor.
